I'm passionate about books and reading...

Wait for You

Wait for You - J. Lynn I'm so unbelievably sad. :( You have to know Jennifer is one of my favorite authors EVER and almost every book of hers I rated 5 stars. Don't get me wrong, Wait for You wasn't bad, but there was a lot of stuff that bothered me, so I can't give it more than 3 stars.

I was so so soooo excited when I started reading it! I was excited and couldn't put the book down! Then suddenly like a deflating balloon...

... the book became predictable and couldn't keep my attention anymore.

Before I tell you a bit about the story I have to say, the most annoying thing was the EDITING! I'm not exaggerating... it was HORRIBLE. Mistakes after mistakes, misspellings, incomplete sentences! They made the story a lot less enjoyable! Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a few mistakes, but this book was FULL of them! I can't even process this, because I've never noticed something like this in any other book of Jennifer's (and I read all of them!).

I really loved the characters though. The story is told from Avery Morgansten's POV, who is attending college far from her home town, hoping to escape her horrible past and maybe try to live a normal life, which is becoming more and more complicated after she meets the gorgeous, swoon-worthy Cameron Hamilton with his piercing blue eyes.

I LOVED CAM! He is cocky, witty and has a huge ego, but also he is the boy every girl dreams about. Despite his bad-boy look, he is considerate, sweet, funny and loving, and he really cares about Avery. I just loved their banter at the beginning!

... oh, and he has a turtle called Raphael. How cool is that?!?!?! :D

Then about halfway through the book I got bored. It was the same old story I've read hundreds of times in other New Adult novels. A lot of teasing, tension, some unnecessary drama, untold secrets, secrets and more secrets... Nothing unique, really, which bothered me. Especially Avery's behavior and how he treated Cam most of the time.

Overall this book was not bad, but it wasn't good either. I'm going to miss Cam a bit, though. He was the best character in the book!

*3 stars* from me, sorry.
