I did something I've never done before. I skipped book 2 and 3 (I read the first one) before starting Beauty and the Mustache
. I've read so many riveting reviews for this one that I couldn't wait. The book can be read as a standalone so it didn't bother me much. :)
This book was deeper and more emotional than how I remember the first book. I actually liked this one better. Beauty and the Mustache had the perfect balance of humor and serious moments
and as always, the writing was engaging.
The characters and witty dialogues were amazing, but the story was predictable
and they were not any surprises for me while reading it.I smiled but did not laugh, I was sad but did not cry, I liked it but did not fall in love. The heroine, Ashley was a great narrator.
I'm glad the story wasn't told from Drew's pov - after reading the epilogue from his pov, I found being in his head too heavy. :)Drew was amazing
, even if he didn't talk much through the whole novel. **** 4 Viking stars ****
